Who we are

Our market is independent and community organized. We have a steering committee, a year-round director, an onsite manager, two interns, a chef demo team, a handyman, and a “street team” of volunteers who serve as greeters and traffic guides. In addition, we have generous volunteers who help behind the scenes with graphics, photography, marketing, events and more.

A freelance graphic designer and writer (Whitehorn Design), Julie helped found the market and has served as chair of the QA Farmers Market Association since 2008. A resident of Queen Anne for over 20 years, Julie is passionate about building a healthier planet and community from the roots up. She and her husband have two children in local schools. Margaret Cuevas, Onsite Manager

As a nearby neighbor, Margaret caught the market bug last year as a volunteer, working onsite and with the marketing committee. With an extensive background in corporate public relations, Margaret lives her passion for food and wine, having received recognition as a Certified Wine Professional (CWP) at the Culinary Institute of America Rudd Center for Professional Wine Studies in Napa, California.
