Some days are better than others for a farmers market, and wow, did the stars align for us today! We’ve got sunshine, marimba music, an all-star lineup in the chef’s tent, the best street food in the city . . . and a pretty awesome (if we do say so ourselves) selection of the best local fruits and veggies, free range chicken and eggs, wild fish, and grassfed beef, lamb and pork. And that’s not even mentioning the award-winning cheese, hard cider, honey, breads, pastries and coffee. Come over and stay a while.
VOLUNTEER
Do you want to help preserve farmland, reconnect Queen Anne to local farmers and locally-grown food, build greater food security, improve public health, and create a vibrant sense of community here on the hill?
Join our team!
We are a true community-run neighborhood market, and we need neighbor volunteers to greet, inform, and direct customers, and to assist in set-up and breakdown. Have fun in the sun, get great stuff, meet incredible people, and celebrate at season’s end.
Because we want you to really know your market, we ask that you commit to a minimum of five (5) shifts and attend one 15-minute training session. Sign up with a friend! The hours fly by at the market, and if you’re like us, you’ll find it incredibly stimulating and relaxing at the same time.
Shift One: 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Shift Two: 5:00 to 7:30 pm
Dates: Thursdays, May 20 through October 7
VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION & SAFETY TRAINING
5 pm, Thursday, May 13 (on-site)
We’re also looking for “behind the scenes” volunteers who will help with fundraising, events, and marketing.
